Pinnacle Holds Annual Strategy & Planning Meeting

Arlington, Texas – The Pinnacle Corporation (Pinnacle), held its Annual Strategy and Planning Meeting January 19-20th at their headquarters in Arlington, Texas. The meeting brought together Pinnacle’s Senior Management, Product Management and Development, and Sales and Marketing teams to plan and implement strategies for new solutions and updates to their existing product lines, POS, Loyalty and Mobile. The team is excited about plans to grow new and existing Pinnacle solutions that will continue to address the latest industry trends to meet retailer needs now and in the future.

Among top items discussed, the Pinnacle Affiniti™ Mobile platform continues to play a crucial and exciting role in the progression of our Mobile and integrated Loyalty offerings. Lynch Oil, with their Mr. Gas Affiniti Mobile App, has completed the final stages of beta development and the Lynch team is excited to see the anticipated results of improved adoption, promotions and traffic since testing began in late September.

“Today’s consumers keep their mobile phones closer to their hand than the wallet that holds their cards.  Offering a mobile app to our customers allows us to offer convenience before they even walk in the store,” says Nick Lynch, President of Triple S Oil. “Consumers will be able to sign up for loyalty rewards directly through the app, they’ll also get promo offers, updates on pricing, and they’ll be able to check their loyalty points balance including their status on their club punches.  We are looking forward to the new opportunities that our Mr. Gas mobile app offers our business and our customers.”

In addition to Affiniti Mobile, the Pinnacle Loyalty Suite is now the most device and system malleable in the industry. Soon able to integrate with POS systems in addition to Pinnacle’s Palm POS™, the Loyalink® loyalty solution integrates easily with existing back office and front of house software- making ease of implementation fast and efficient, so retailers and their customers can start gaining value quickly.

With regards to POS, Pinnacle continues to be the industry leader in completing EMV certification and meeting regulatory requirements. The Palm POS system has been and continues to be the most open, flexible, platform enabling a customized fit to each client’s unique operation. The strategy and planning meeting included conversations about new POS features and Pinnacle’s continued successes related to being a POS provider with more integrations with more partners than any other company. A strength that has and will continue to propel Pinnacle’s POS solution forward is the strategy of a POS platform that protects and preserves the retailer’s investment. The architecture you ran yesterday will be what you run tomorrow; we innovate with software, not hardware.

Through industry involvement such as its partnership with NACS and the SkimDefend™ Mobile App, Pinnacle is making customer data security and convenience store liability priorities the safest and most cost effective environment possible. And with the release of the SkimDefend Multi-Site Mobile App, retailers who manage multiple convenience stores will have the benefit of corporate loss prevention reporting to alert them to possible label tampering resulting in risk of skimming or other theft.

Pinnacle continues its decades long commitment to the convenience store industry now and into the future with innovation and thought leadership. Pinnacle Point of Sale, Loyalty and Mobile solutions give retailers the decided edge over competition- driving traffic, driving sales and driving profits.

Pinnacle announces launch of new consumer facing mobile app solution

Mobile - Consumer Cell

Arlington, Texas – The Pinnacle Corporation (Pinnacle), the leading supplier of technology automation solutions for retail convenience stores and fuel inventory management, announced today the launch of its new consumer facing mobile app solutions for c-store retailers nationwide.

Driving consumer traffic has always been one of the biggest challenges for convenience store retailers, and as a result, retailers are increasingly moving toward mobile solutions to get consumers’ attention and dollars.  In fact, between 2015 and 2020, mobile traffic is projected to grow by 8 times, which means the reliance on mobile technologies by consumers provides a unique opportunity for retailers to more easily gather and share information with potential consumers.

Pinnacle’s consumer mobile app is the perfect vehicle to engage customers and influence their buying habits.  The app addresses several key areas important in a consumers’ decision to visit your store:

  • Location – easily identify where your stores are located
  • Amenities – determine exactly what services each location provides
  • Gas Prices – unique store pricing
  • Promotions – digital offers to lure buyers into your stores

“Pinnacle’s mobile app increases consumer loyalty, builds a competitive advantage for c-store retailers, and drives profits- while significantly reducing the cost and time barriers that have plagued deployment of mobile applications in the past,” said Melissa Fox Hadley, Director of Product Management at Pinnacle.

“The Pinnacle Mobile Platform is based on decades of dedication and experience in the convenience store industry.  Through partnership and collaboration with clients, Pinnacle created a mobile platform with the flexibility, ease and control that retailers demand.  The app is built in a way that enables us to continually expand the feature set and add incremental value for all clients- without having to retrofit each individual client’s app- so they can start taking advantage of new features immediately.”

Built on the same Pinnacle Mobile Platform as SkimDefend, Pinnacle’s anti-skimming application, Pinnacle’s consumer facing mobile application was developed to design and deploy a branded/customized app for a c-store retailer quickly and at minimal cost.

“We’ve been extending Pinnacle products with mobile solutions as far back as 2008,” said Drew Mize, President at Pinnacle.  “The landscape and technologies have certainly improved over time, and we are delighted to announce our new Pinnacle Mobile Platform consumer facing solutions to the market, which will be the basis for incremental mobile offerings into the future.”

KA Management Takes Control of their Fuel Inventories with Pinnacle’s Fuel Smart Platform

San Diego, California – KA Management is utilizing Pinnacle Corporation’s technology to manage fuel inventories with Pinnacle’s Fuel Smart® Platform.

KA Management started managing fuel inventory to support their real estate business. In order to meet the fuel demands of sites they owned, they needed not only to automate, but to optimize and manage by exception. It was also important that their fuel system operate effectively and independently, sending alerts and information to management working remotely.

“I travel quite a bit, and it’s a comfort for me to able to manage fuel from another country, especially knowing I can handle 99% of any issues that come up,” says Bryan Jones, head of IT and Business Software, just before heading to Europe.

Double Quick Takes Control of their Fuel with DWS

Indianola, MS – Mississippi-based Double Quick (www.doublequick.com) uses Pinnacle Corporation’s Dispatcher Workstation™ to more effectively control their fuel inventory, ordering and dispatching when working with Fuel Smart®.

Family owned, with 51 retail fuel locations, Double Quick was looking for a fuel management solution that would give them better control over inventory. They needed to have an internal process to know best when to get readings, what load delivery turnaround times are for site locations, and be able to project sales for each site location.

With Dispatcher Workstation, Double Quick is able to have complete control over fuel inventory with effective ordering and dispatching. Product run-out has been drastically reduced and is now a rare occurrence. They are also able to resolve paperwork issues quickly when a store is out of balance.

“Being able to configure custom rules and get alert notifications via email when rule conditions have been met has eliminated the need to continuously monitor tank inventories,” says Carson Crawford, Staff Accountant at Double Quick.
