retail convenience stores, announced today that it has achieved certification with its Affiniti Cloud POS
Solutions to offer TruAge® (www.mytruage.org).
TruAge® is an innovative, universally accepted age-verification system that makes it more accurate to
verify an adult customer’s age when purchasing age-restricted products, and at the same time makes
identity theft difficult. The age-verification program is free to retailers, consumers and point-of-sale
(POS) providers to ensure accessibility and support the program’s wide adoption.
Pinnacle’s Affiniti is the first cloud solution to complete this certification. The Affiniti Cloud Platform
(www.affiniti.cloud) offers a complete range of POS offerings, including: a front counter POS attended
checkout with proven Pinnacle EPS technology, self-checkout, including cash management through the
same EPS technology, in-store kiosk food ordering with optional cash and electronic payment, and
mobile ordering with wallet payment.

The completion of the TruAge® integration offers retailers the capability of scanning not only driver’s
licenses, but also digital IDs. With the TruAge® app, launching in early 2024, on a mobile device,
customers will be able to present a QR code at the point of sale, representing a digital age verification,
while also displaying a picture for the cashier to verify.
